 2024 Russell Lions Club
Annual Food Drive
For decades, the Russell Lions Club have collected non-perishable food
items and donations for our local
Good
Neighbour’s Food Bank. On Saturday, June 1st, with assistance from
members of the
Russell Township Fire
Services, held our Annual Food Drive at
Russell Foodland.
We received overwhelming support from the community, having collected 150
pre-packaged food donation bags and over $1400 in monetary donations.
These donations will help support over 140 families in the Russell, Embrun,
Marionville and Limoges areas that
Good
Neighbour’s Food Bank assist each month.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported
this event with your generous donations, your time, your energy or by
simply sharing information about the Food Drive with your friends and
neighbours.
If you would like to continue to support those in need through the Russell
Lions Club, community members are welcome to e-transfer donations for the
Good Neighbours Food Bank directly to
FoodDrive@LionsRussell.com.
